Meditations on the Wounds of Christ

 Christ was wounded by the nails which pierced his hands and feet, and the spear that pierced his side, the thorns which pierced his holy head, the scourges at the pillar, and perhaps in his heart at gesthemane in the loneliness in seeing his coming death. 

Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. Christ is the light of the world. Christ is the Word, the Logos, the Son of the Father and who sends the Spirit. 

  1. The Way
    1. The hands and feet and side of The Way are pierced.
    2. The Way wears a crown of thorns. 
    3. The Way was scourged at the pillar. 
    4. The heart of The Way suffered at Gesthemane.
  2. The Truth
    1. The hands and feet and side of The Truth are pierced.
    2. The Truth wears a crown of thorns. 
    3. The Truth was scourged at the pillar. 
    4. The heart of The Truth suffered at Gesthemane.
  3. The Life
    1. The hands and feet and side of The Life are pierced.
    2. The Life wears a crown of thorns. 
    3. The Life was scourged at the pillar. 
    4. The heart of The Life suffered at Gesthemane.
  4. The Light of the World
    1. The hands and feet and side of The Light of the World are pierced.
    2. The Light of the World wears a crown of thorns. 
    3. The Light of the World was scourged at the pillar. 
    4. The heart of The Light of the World suffered at Gesthemane.
  5. The Word
    1. The hands and feet and side of The Word are pierced.
    2. The Word wears a crown of thorns. 
    3. The Word was scourged at the pillar. 
    4. The heart of The Word suffered at Gesthemane.
  6. The Logos
    1. The hands and feet and side of The Logos are pierced.
    2. The Logos wears a crown of thorns. 
    3. The Logos was scourged at the pillar. 
    4. The heart of The Logos suffered at Gesthemane.
  7. The Son of God
    1. The hands and feet and side of The Son of God are pierced.
    2. The Son of God wears a crown of thorns. 
    3. The Son of God was scourged at the pillar. 
    4. The heart of The Son of God suffered at Gesthemane.
  8. The one who sends the Spirit
    1. The hands and feet and side of The One who sends the Spirit are pierced.
    2. The One who sends the Spirit wears a crown of thorns. 
    3. The One who sends the Spirit was scourged at the pillar. 
    4. The heart of The One who sends the Spirit suffered at Gesthemane.
  9. The King of Kings and Lord of Lords
    1. The hands and feet and side of The King of Kings and Lord of Lords were pierced.
    2. The King of Kings and Lord of Lords wore a crown of thorns. 
    3. The King of Kings and Lord of Lords was scourged at the pillar. 
    4. The heart of The King of Kings and Lord of Lords suffered at Gesthemane.
  10. The One who Came Down from Heaven
    1. The hands and feet and side of The One who Came Down form Heaven are pierced.
    2. The One who Came Down from Heaven wears a crown of thorns. 
    3. The One who Came Down from Heaven was scourged at the pillar. 
    4. The heart of The One who Came Down from Heaven suffered at Gesthemane.

 Here's another Meme I found in r/Enlightenment and decided to respond to:  I find it depends on the stranger and the exact form their resentment and hostility takes. Fir their are many people who, even in their resentment and hostility, still hold themselves up to certain rules of conduct: perhaps it's sometimes some intuitive sense of honor, or some instinctively held ideal of fair play, or some habitually held value of good morals placed in them from their upbringing; etc. Whatever form it takes, this inclination towards a certain code of conduct makes it possible, even in the midst of their hostility, to have a fruitful discussion with them, if you are willing to endure their resentment and hostility with patience. I came across this meme on r/Enlightenment and figured I'd share it and my response to it:  Evidently there is more than thought, since the blankness of the subsequent statement is not thought, but a sensible image, so along with thoughts there are sensible images.
